@Akemi - 'age old attitude that power is to be found somewhere outside of them' ... well put. To me, your readings and those of other spiritual advisors are about helping a person look inside to their own power. And as a responsible spiritual advisor, you clearly do not create a false dependency on your guidance. I am going to pursue this 'power within versus somewhere outside' in future posts. Thank you so much for providing your input to the Silver & Grace community. You add very insightful and thought provoking tidbits.

@Betsy - I make listening to my intuition a part of my daily decision making. From the smallest thing like "put the lid on the paint can because the cat is about to come bounding through the room" to major life and business decisions. I get a psychic reading about once a year. I consider incorporate the advice I receive from it into my life plan's for that year. Along with my own intuition, and the advise of friends and family, it's part of figuring out what is right for me. And I believe in their ability to read whatever it is they are reading. They know things they cannot possibly know or predict. And since I do my own readings, I am always on the alert for those who are really just making educated guesses, rather than truly doing readings. As with any profession, there are those who are truly talented and well-meaning, and those who aren't. I always go with 'if it doesn't ring true with me, it ain't so'.

Hi,

Dependency on psychics is a real issue among women. As you point out, some women neglect their responsibility to make real changes in their lives and go on from one psychic to another. It's based on their age old attitude that power is to be found somewhere outside of them, rather than within them.

If someone understands the power is within themselves, they would invest time and effort learning and cultivating this inner power. Some do this through my Spirit Guides Coaching, and some do it on their own. The path doesn't matter. The point is they look within, rather than yet another psychic.

I'd be happy if the women who only do the reading with me are investing their time doing their intuition development on their own. Then, maybe, I contributed something to their lives.

Hi Eliza - I never thought of developing my intuition. It's just been "there," at various strength levels, throughout my life. Imagine if I had developed it more fully? Would I have made better decisions?

I believe psychics can provide answers. I've enjoyed the several readings I've had. One reading in particular that was done about 15 years ago that I thought had a preposterous prediction has come true, to my eternal amusement. While I can see perhaps how someone would become reliant upon readings by interpreting them as advice to live by, not my thing. Everyone searches for meaning in their own way, and it seems sad to think of someone moving from potential source to potential source without tapping into what we all share within. Thanks.
